Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Everything you need to know about booking a branding session.
What are some things to keep in mind when choosing a location?
Consider your brand shoot and what you want to portray. Do you need a desk for some of your images? Or perhaps food is a part of your business – a kitchen space would be key to telling your brand story. Is there ample natural light (think windows) throughout the space? Is there multiple spaces that are in-line with your brand? Does it have an organic feel? (i.e. you don’t want it to feel too staged).
I’m not sure my office or home is the right space for my photos what other options do I have?
I am here to help! I have a document with options in Hamilton. Burlington and Toronto. All of the studios I have listed offer different options so you can choose an aesthetic that speaks to you. You can also look at AirBnB and Peer Space for options.
How does booking work?
After we’ve chatted, I will send you a proposal with some options for your session. Once you’ve chosen your branding package, I will send you a contract and an invoice. To book a date, you must send back your digital signed contract as well as a 50% deposit. The other 50% is due the day before your shoot day.
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay by e-transfer or credit card.
I don’t like being in front of the camera – I’m nervous for my session, any tips?
Don’t worry, this is common. As an introvert, I feel this on so many levels. During your session, there is so much talking (maybe some dancing to some fun music) that happens and I am constantly guiding you, the time will fly and over you will probably forget about the camera. We can turn on some of your favourite tunes and get a relaxed vibe going for you! You got this!
What should I bring to my shoot?
Items do you use in your day to day.
All your outfits
Any accents that can be used for background spaces (think shelves) or perhaps items for a desk (if this is applicable)
Personal items that are part of things you love for example your go to beverage
Make a list of items so that you don’t forget anything for the day of the shoot! I love a good checklist! We can discuss this more in depth on your discovery call.
